I could never sum up 20 some odd years into something that you, my reader, would really care about. Honestly, do you really care where I was born, how many brothers and sisters I had and what my favorite color is? Hardly.
I’m sure though, you would like some information about the person behind the press.
As a young woman in her mid-20s I continue to call my childhood bedroom home while I attempt to make a living as a professional writer on Long Island. I am a staff reporter for the Long Beach Herald and I can truly say that I love my job.
I have absolutely no idea what I would be doing if I wasn’t writing. I truly feel there is no other career for me and that’s a scary thought. I work with some amazing people that keep me laughing as we watch the industry crumble around us and scramble to play catch up.
I have a typical but not so typical Italian family that I live with since, while I love my job, I don’t get paid enough to take of myself. So, I still enjoy all the comforts of home, like a home-cooked meal and my laundry done every week.
At almost 27, I would give up all of that just to have a place of my own with my boyfriend of almost two years. Chuck and I are an online dating success story. He one of the most intelligent people that I have ever met, but like many, he’s been hit with some bad luck. He’s stuck with me!
I kid, I kid.
He is also living at home, but at least he got to taste freedom for six years while in college. We’ve had the discussion and mutually decided that we like each other enough to want the other around for an extended period of time. If living at home wasn’t depressing enough, we’re now struggling to figure out a way to move out and take the next step in our relationship.
I love the water and the beach is my favorite place in the world. I love yoga, but apparently not enough to go to class instead of editing this blog. Crochet is my old lady hobby, but I only know one stitch so all I can make are blankets and scarves.
I’m a budding photographer, but my sister is way better. See the “Photography” page to learn more about her work, which is featured here. I love cats and even though I’ll be married, I’ll be an old cat lady.
